SFO BART station

San Francisco International Airport is a BART station on the Pittsburg/Bay Point – SFO Line located inside San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The station is configured as a terminus station. Trains enter from an elevated track from the west side of Highway 101. There are three tracks and corresponding bay platforms.

On January 1 2008, BART eliminated direct service between the SFO station and Millbrae (except for a few trips scheduled during the first and last hour of service each day). Passengers traveling between SFO and Millbrae now need to make a timed transfer at San Bruno.

Convenience: 10
It is easily walkable to the terminal and ground transportation. The station is located on level 3 of the International Terminal, next to Parking Garage G. There are two entrances and exits – one on level 3, adjacent to the grand foyer off the north side of the International Terminal; and the other is a level up at the Garage G/BART AirTrain station.

Safety: 10
The station is well light, and the airport is frequently packed with travellers at all hours. Police is close by in the airport if you need it.

Parking

Few inexpensive parking options. Try parking at Millbrae station and taking the BART to SFO. Daily parking at the airport start at $10/day, $2 - 4/hr for short term parking.
